We must regretfully announce that this year’s World Carnival is cancelled. Due to a lack of participation based on a number of factors, we feel that the best course of action is to postpone this great event until next year. We understand that schools are facing numerous difficulties and we want to be as supportive as possible. We want to make sure that next year’s carnival, which will be held in the spring of 2010, is a great success. In order to accomplish this, we will have meetings starting in a few weeks to determine the steps that need to be followed in order for the World Carnival to continue. We hope that by providing you with a year to prepare, you will have the necessary tools available to participate in the event, whose mission is to bring the entire Sunnyside District community together. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank those of you who were ready and willing to participate. We hope that this postponement will lead to the best carnival yet for the Sunnyside District.
